Living Cheaper - Home Style

You don't have to make your home resemble a monk's cell to live cheaper. But be sure you can do a good job - and have the time to spend on the project - otherwise it could look shoddy. Extra storage need not cost the earth and your home will look so much more user-friendly if it is not cluttered. There are many attractive storage solutions on the market. Part of living cheaper is staying home more so you want your home to be inviting and comfortable. Understatement is the key for finishing touches, along with good quality basics.

Scrimping on the basics such as curtains or material for re-covering a sofa will cost you more in the long run, because it will become shabby much more quickly. So good fabrics are an investment; when choosing a lounge, look at synthetic suede type of fabrics that last well. Just as good accessories complement an outfit, furnishing accessories are the finishing touch for your home and make all the difference to the look of it. A nice potted plant or cushions in just the right shade will work wonders.
